The working days of our colleagues are undoubtedly determined by the IT industry. However, their passion towards new technologies doesn’t end there. They try out and use interesting solutions tirelessly, so here are some of their favorite apps that can help your team in productivity, collaboration and more.
Victor Pietriş, Google Cloud Business Development Manager
My new favorite app is Monday.com. This is a cloud-based workOS accessible via the browser.
Monday.com helps people and teams in creating workflow apps quickly, so they can run their processes, projects, and everyday work with ease and speed. This app can manage everything, for example architecture and construction projects, logistic teams, software development, product launches, leads and opportunities. The key element of Monday.com is the board, a fully customizable table that can be handled seamlessly by click and drag-and-drop. The columns are the building blocks of the board and you can track your or your team’s work, collaborate on projects, and visualize the data in different ways. Of course this can’t be achieved without automations: it has a variety of them already prepared and they are as simple to use as click-click-go. Among the benefits I must talk about dashboards, the place where you can see the bigger picture and have real-time insights, helping you act where and when it’s necessary.
Monday.com stands above the rest of similar apps because it is simple to use, has a visual and intuitive interface, and it connects with many of the top solutions people use today, such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack.
Mihály Kiléber, Senior Azure Engineer
During my daily work as an Azure engineer I deal with our customers’ Azure subscriptions. So one of my favorite application became the Azure Storage Explorer.
It is an easy-to-use very user-friendly Azure storage explorer tool, which makes it easy to connect to different storage accounts using different Azure subscriptions. It guarantees stress-free file up- and downloads, copy and move operations, including folder and container creation or removal. Using this tool, it is not necessary to logon to each Azure subscription, just connect the desired storage account from the required Azure subscription to perform the operations. Azure Storage Explorer receives automatic updates as well, so each new feature and product fix, which were deployed in Storage Explorer or Azure storage, becomes available for use. It is very useful for any IT personnel as it provides a centralized management interface and makes Azure file operations easy. Another advantage is that it can handle CosmosDB and Data Lake Gen1 storage accounts as well.
